Lose Weight While You Sleep?
As spring is upon us, the water cooler conversation turns to diets and new weight loss methods in an attempt to shed the extra pounds and fit into last years bathing suit. A new book says you can do it in your sleep.
The book out on Apr. 9, 2013, is called “The Overnight diet”. In it, Dr. Caroline Apovian, an obesity doctor out of the Boston Medical Center, argues that if you follow a certain regiment, you can lose up to two pounds a day while you sleep. No exercise necessary.
What is the regiment? Eat a high protein diet for 6 days followed by 1 day of liquid diet. And get lot and lots of sleep. You can lose 9 pounds a week this way, the book promises.
Sounds to me like an ideal vacation.
