What Is The Normal Level of Testosterone In Men
Testosterone levels fluctuate between people, and can fluctuate even during the course of a day. The average level for men is between 270-1070 ng/dl.
Does Testosterone Decrease Naturally?
As men age, testosterone levels drop. After age 40, men are believed to lose 1% of their testosterone level per year. At age 70, normal decrease will cause the testosterone to be lower by 30% then it was at age 40.
Can Low levels of Testosterone be Reversed?
Low levels of testosterone can be reversed with hormone replacement therapy. Testosterone can be applied in one of 3 methods:
- Pallets that are inserted into the upper hip and release testosterone slowly.
All of these methods should be supervised by a physician.
